San Francisco / Amity

San Francisco / Amity is a section of Universal Studios that is home to several of the more popular rides.  These include:

• Earthquake – The Big One
• JAWS
• Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue

In Earthquake – The Big One, guests enjoy a simulation of an earthquake registering 8.3 on a Richter Scale.  JAWS, on the other hand, takes guests on a boat ride through dangerous waters plagued by a great white shark.  Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue, on the other hand, is a rockin’ fun musical featuring many of the most famous monsters from Universal movies of past and present.

Guests can also enjoy dining at a number of restaurants while in San Francisco / Amity.  At Lombard’s Seafood Grille, they can pick from a variety of seafood dishes.  Richter’s Burger Company offers burgers plus a great view of the lagoon or of the New York area.

Chez Alcatraz is an outdoor diner that offers fast snacks, such as turkey wraps, shrimp, chili, and seafood chowder.  The San Francisco Pastry Co. has sandwiches, salads, and pastries on its menu while the Midway Grill includes chili dogs, hot dogs, fries, and slaw.

A number of shops can also be found throughout San Francisco / Amity.  These include the San Francisco Candy Factory where guests can satisfy their sweet tooth and Shaiken’s Souvenirs where a souvenir of the visit can be purchased.  Other shops include Quint’s Surf Shack, JAWS Cart, and Oakley.
