The Magic of Disney Animation

This tour puts the mischievous dog, Mushu, from Mulan at center stage. It begins in a theater with the 10 minute “Drawn to Animation” feature, during which a Disney Animator puts Mushu on the screen and interacts with him. The animators themselves can be a bit awkward, but Mushu makes the tour fun. As a whole, the presentation is informative and cute for all ages.

After this brief introduction is completed, guests go to another section where they can play with a variety of interactive displays. They can even sing or act to become the voice of a Disney character! Another display provides guests with a quiz to determine which Disney character they are most like. At yet another, guests can paint a Disney character. A 15-20 minute animation class, led by a Disney Animator, can also be taken. Here, guests can learn how to draw a character.

When leaving, guests pass through a display area highlighting animation achievements made by Disney. From here, they enter a store, The Animation Gallery, containing collectibles and animation cels. The attraction itself is wheelchair accessible. Guests in ECV’s must be able to transfer to a wheelchair. Assistive listening devices are available from Guest Services for guests who are hearing impaired. Reflective captioning is also available.
