The Flying Unicorn

The Flying Unicorn, which is a medium sized family roller coaster, is located next to the Dueling Dragons on the outskirts of The Lost Continent inside a serene wooded area. In fact, park guests can follow unicorn hoofmarks to its location! This family coaster climbs to 40 feet as the long trains, which consist of 8 cars and holds a total of 16 passengers, glide through a forest filled with mythical creatures.

According to legend, an ancient wizard had gathered scraps of wood from magical castles, scraps from a knight’s armor, and iron from witch’s caldrons in order to build the same noble steed he road when he was young. He also found a Unicorn horn, which he placed on the head of the cart. This caused it to come to life and the wizard decided to share his creation with others. To go on the ride, therefore, guests board a steel unicorn. Each one has its own coat of arms and is capable of holding two passengers. At a maximum speed of 28 mph, the ride is less than one minute long and reaches a maximum height of 43 feet and contains a 30 foot drop.

The minimum height for this ride is 36” and guests in wheelchairs must be able to transfer to the ride’s seating. The ride is not recommended for pregnant women, guests susceptible with motion sickness, or guests with neck, back, and heart conditions. There are benches and other waiting areas near to the ride’s exit for guests who don’t wish to ride.
