Egypt

The Egypt area, which is one of the smallest in the park, was added in 1996.  It can be found by walking in the direction of the huge dark blue coaster and a gigantic tan wall.  The popular Montu roller coaster can be found here, as well as a walk through of Tut’s Tomb.  There are also plenty games of skill available in Egypt or the kids can enjoy going on a dig at Sifting Sands.

Snack opportunities are available in Egypt with Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream and at Pyramid Joes.  Dippin’ Dots provides a variety of spherical shaped ice cream flavors while Pyramid Joes offers frosted lemonade, soda, and baked popcorn.

For those who like to shop, Montu Shop offers special Montu themed souvenirs and other Busch Gardens memorabilia, such as t-shirts, shot glasses, and sunglasses.  It is located at the exit to the ride.  The Golden Scarab, which is located next to Tut’s Tomb, contains Egyptian trinkets, jewelry, and other Egyptian-themed souvenirs.

Egypt tends to become busy quickly because it is located near the entrance and is home to a popular roller coaster.  Therefore, it is best to visit Egypt as soon as the park opens in order to avoid long lines to Montu.  Otherwise, Egypt can be visited at any time of the day because lines for other attractions are not long.
