The Crown Colony
The Crown Colony is one of the smaller areas of the park, but it is still filled with activity. Here, guests can enjoy a ride on the Skyride, which offers spectacular views of the park, or take a simulated ride on Akbar’s Adventure Tourse. Or, guests can visit the Clydesdale stable and pet the world-famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale horses. The Crown Colony also serves as the entryway to the Edge of Africa and to Egypt. This area is always crowded, but does offer many benches for taking a rest and enjoying the beautiful landscape filled with palm trees and flowers.
For shopping opportunities, guests can visit Edge of Africa Gifts to purchase Edge of Africa and Serengeti Tour souvenirs such as apparel and other gifts. The Busch Gardens Wildlife Gallery, which is dedicated to the preservation of wildlife, offers photographs and paintings for purchase of nature.
For wonderful dining opportunities, The Crown Colony House Restaurant is the park’s only full service restaurant and offers the best food in the park. It also has a great view of the Serengeti Plain. A variety of seafood and chicken dishes can be enjoyed here, as well as sandwiches. The top floor provides the best views. If guests would rather grab a pizza, Provisions and Terrace is the place to go. It also offers sandwiches and Anheuser-Busch beer.
