Tarzan Rocks

The “Tarzan Rocks” performance takes place in the outdoor Theater in the Wild amphitheatre, which contains 1500 wooden bench seats.

To get inside the theatre, guests go through queues containing large canopies. The stage is covered with live foliage, green leaves, vines, and cloud swings to add to the look of a jungle scene. Runways, ramps and aisle ways are also part of the stage area as the high-energy show begins.

The 30 minute Tarzan Rocks show includes wonderful vocal performances, magnificent stunts, and daredevil gymnastics. This performance celebrates the animated Tarzan film, rather then attempting to recreate it. Among the characters included are Tarzan, Jane, and Terk – as well as 24 other performers.

The fantastic pyrotechnics of the show begin to the beat of “Two Worlds, One Family” as audio clips from the film are shown. “Animal” dancers then appear, which are performers dressed in magnificent costumes containing taupe, aqua, pink, and lime green colors. The vines on the stage, which serve a decorative purpose, are also utilized by the high-flying acrobats and gymnasts.

A trio of singers also entertains the crowd by singing “You’ll Be in My Heart” as dancers perform within the audience. During the song “Son of Man,” in-line skaters wearing dreadlocked helmets fly out from the balconies and down the ramps, performing amazing stunts.

Tarzan and Jane then emerge, and frolic about within the jungle in amazing acrobatic displays. Meanwhile, Terk encourages the audience to participate in the “Trashin’ the Camp” performance.

The grand finale comes back to “Two Worlds, One Family,” during which all of the performers come back on stage. This is accompanied by an excellent lights and sound show.
