Walt Disney World Railroad

Go on a magical mystery tour around the Magic Kingdom on one of the four steam-powered rail-road trains. With stops at Main Street, USA, Frontierland and Fantasyland, the 20-minute tour is the perfect opportunity to put your feet up and enjoy the scenery.

The trains, Lilly Belle, Roy O. Disney, Roger E. Broggie and Walter E. Disney, were built in the USA at the turn of the 20th century and enjoyed long working careers working for the United Railways of Yucatan hauling sugarcane. Brought to Disney in 1969 after being spotted by Disney scouts, they have been main stayers since the theme park’s opening in 1971.

Manned by three Disney cast members (a conductor, an engineer, and a fireman), passengers will feel both safe and looked-after in traditional Disney style. The engineer is charged with operation of the locomotive, the fireman is responsible for maintaining the fire as well as water level in the boiler and the conductor is responsible for the operation and safety of each station and train. Just before arriving at Frontierland Station, trains pass through Splash Mountain, where the ride's finale scene is visible along with a “hidden Mickey”.
