Mad Tea Party

On the Mad Tea Party ride, which is located in Fantasyland, fans of Alice in Wonderland get to enjoy a ride in oversized spinning teacups. Guests are able to control the amount of spin by turning a wheel located in the cup's center, making it a ride that shouldn't be ridden soon after eating. Approximately two to three people can fit in one cup, depending on the sizes of the guests.

A centrally located teapot set amidst the 18 pastel, spinning cups features a mouse that will pop out his head to take a peak during the 2 minute ride. Alice and her friends, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, are often waiting outside the ride in order to welcome guests, as well. In addition, a canopy is located above the ride, which protects guests from the weather. To add to the fun, characters from the Alice in Wonderland movie, such as the Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, Alice, and the Queen of Hearts, greet guests at various times throughout the day at the attraction.

The Mad Tea Party is popular with younger children and the ride is slow loading, which can cause for long lines. It is open during the Extra Magic Hour, which is available to guests of the Disney Resorts. Those that stay at the resorts can enjoy rides an hour before the park opens for normal business hours. Guests in wheelchairs are able to enjoy the ride if they are capable of transferring from their wheelchairs into the teacups.
