Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

Glenn Randall, who was the stunt coordinator of the Indiana Jones movies, directs this amazing 35 minute attraction. This 'stunt spectacular,' which is located just past Echo Lake, reenacts major scenes from the 'Raiders of the Lost Ark" movie using live stuntmen and women, special effects, and pyrotechnics. In addition, guests are treated to a demonstration of how the stunts are designed and how they are performed safely.

Although the attraction features professional stuntmen and women, volunteers from the audience are also selected to act in certain scenes. The stunt designers and crewmembers also describe how the stunt is done behind the scenes, as well as in front of the camera. One exciting scene in which audience participants take part is a fight sequence that takes place in a Cairo market.

This is an extremely popular attraction and the lines get longer as the day goes on. In addition, the line formations are largely in unshaded areas. Guests are allowed to enter the 2000 seat outdoor shaded amphitheater 20 minutes prior to the show. Here, they are treated to a hilarious pre-show until the main attraction begins. Shortly before the Indiana Jones show begins, a 'casting director' provides the audience with an overview of the show and auditions adult guests to participate as extras in the show. Those seated near the front have the best chance of being selected as an extra. A restroom is also located in this restaurant.

On the way out of the show, may guests miss the sign that reads 'Don Not Pull Rope,' but the 'Not' is crossed out. Pulling the rope will provide a little extra surprise. The Backlot Express counter service restaurant is located to the left of the exit. It offers sandwiches, burgers, and other fast-food type meals. Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction is located to the right of the theater on Echo Lake. Two shops are located here, as well. The Indy 'truck' is near to one exit and the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost is past the Prime Time café. Both stores offer Indiana Jones movie souvenirs, including jackets, hats, t-shirts, and rubber snakes. They also offer plush Disney characters dressed in Indiana Jones type clothing.

The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is Wheelchair accessible, though they must be seated in a special area in the rear of the theater. Guests who are hearing impaired can obtain assistive listening devices from Guest Services. Individuals who are frightened by loud noises should sit further away from the stage because the special effects can be quite loud. The Fastpass is available for this attraction.
