Orlando attractions

Daytona International Speedway

Daytona International Speedway is located at Daytona Beach, Florida (about 90 minutes drive from Orlando) and most well known for hosting NASCAR racing. The hugely popular Daytona 500 race is held in the last Sunday of February after race practice & qualifying (Budweiser Speedweeks). As the opening race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the Daytona 500 is usually the most watched motorsport event on US TV!

You have two options if you would like to visit Daytona for yourself whilst in Florida:

1) Attend in February and take in an actual racing event like the Daytona 500 or one of the preceding race days during Budweiser #Speedweeks like Sprint Unlimited or Daytona Qualifying.

2) Pick an official tour option (30 mins / 1.5 Hours / 3 hours) which could include:

  • Take a trip around the Daytona track in the VIP visitor tour bus.
  • Explore the NASCAR Sprint Cup garages and the Drivers Meeting Room.
  • Experience the view of champions from the DAYTONA 500 Club President's Row and Victory Lane.
  • Spend time browsing the International Speedway Corporation Archives; a huge collection of race trophies, cars and memorabilia.
  • Get up and and personal with the most recent Champions Daytona 500 car.

The full VIP tour ($50) includes all of the above but a shorter and cheaper tour will only include one or two of these options (see offical site for tour details). Children under 5 years of age are free for the 30 minute and 90 minutes tours - NOT the VIP option (that's if you're taking children and not leaving them at the theme parks while you escape...).

Tours take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 1-4pm (BUT availability varies A LOT during February due to the Daytona 500 and preceding NASCAR race build-up). DO CALL to book / check availability in advance on 877-306-RACE(7223).
