You'll get spat at by raptors, prodded by pteranodons and plunge 85 feet when you come face to face with creatures from the past at Jurassic Park. Inspired by the movie of the same name, the area has some unforgettable rides and discovery-based exhibits.
Hit the water with the Jurassic Park River Adventure, a boat ride that heads up a hill and splashes down into calmer river waters, surrounded by prehistoric trees. But what lurks behind them? Look out as you get knocked off course by stalking dinosaurs, past the dangerous Raptor Containment enclosure and get carried onto a lift hill over 85 feet high in the darkness of the Environmental Systems building... A T-Rex pops his head out, and then you'll plunge through the darkness, splashing into the dark waters of a lagoon below!
On dry land, you'll uncover the secrets of the dinosaurs at the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, see their fossils, and even test your DNA to discover what kind of dinosaur you would be – a carnivorous predator, or a placid herbivore? Examine dinosaur eggs and if you're lucky enough, you may see a baby velociraptor hatching!
See Jurassic Park from above on Pteranodon Flyers, a steel suspended roller coaster that travels a circuit of the park. Take in the sights, sounds and smells of prehistoric times at a leisurely pace, before coming back down to earth.
Safely on terra firma, the younger adventurers will love Camp Jurassic, a children's play area centred around a 50 foot high Banyan tree. And all ages will enjoy the Triceratops Discovery Trail, where guests get up close and personal with a full-scale animated replica of a Triceratops (Trike for short), while a vet performs a check-up. There are three different Trikes – Topper, Chris and Cera, who are all female, and breath, sneeze, snort, and relieve themselves just like the real thing.
